Redefining Performance with Purpose
For this season’s product collaboration with legendary ski racer Ted Ligety, we knew we had an opportunity to create something extraordinary. As a two-time Olympic gold medalist and five-time World Champion, Ted’s dedication to precision, innovation, and performance mirrors the KJUS ethos. From the first sketches to the final prototype, he worked closely with our design team to bring his experience to life, shaping a KJUS ski jacket engineered for athletes who demand the very best.
“Ted is not only a world champion and a legendary skier, but he is also deeply passionate about performance and innovation,” the KJUS design team explains. “His firsthand experience and commitment to excellence aligns perfectly with the KJUS vision for the next chapter of Beyond. Above., Working alongside him elevated our product development to new heights.”
The result is a technical ski jacket that embodies Ted’s relentless pursuit of excellence. It combines advanced materials, thermoregulation technology, and precision construction to deliver performance without compromise.

Engineered for Intelligent Thermoregulation
Ted’s skiing style is aggressive and fast, which means heat management is critical. He worked with our engineers to develop solutions that go far beyond standard performance wear. The Ligety HexAir Jacket uses body mapping to strategically position insulation and ventilation zones, providing warmth in key areas while maintaining breathability during high-output activity.
A Graphene lining helps distribute body heat evenly, preventing the imbalance of hot and cold zones. The Advanced Ventilation System includes our patented KJUS AC-Vent™ on the forearms for easy, gradual temperature control, while underarm vents open wide to channel cold air directly to the core. One of the jacket’s defining features is the mesh panel behind the center front zipper, which allows the wearer to open it for full ventilation without creating drag. Laser-cut breath vents on the collar direct exhaled air upward, helping prevent goggle fog and maintain clear vision. Fully waterproof with a rating of 20,000mm and a breathability rating of 30,000g/m²/24h, the Ligety HexAir Jacket surpasses most technical ski jackets and ensures all-day comfort in the most demanding mountain environments.
Smart Storage and Seamless Integration
Form meets function in every pocket of the Ligety HexAir Jacket Two large chest pockets feature 3D box pleats for expanded capacity, while Graphene-insulated hand pockets keep fingers warm and preserve phone battery life in the cold. A pass-through zipper connects the jacket’s chest pocket to the Ligety Bib, creating seamless integration between the two pieces and allowing quick access to gear without opening the jacket completely.
This system was born from Ted’s on-mountain insight: every pocket, seam, and vent should have a purpose. Together, the jacket and bib move as one, simplifying your setup so you can focus on skiing, not your equipment.

Designed for Freedom of Movement and Tested by a Champion
From the beginning, Ted’s input was clear. The jacket had to be light, flexible, and completely unrestrictive. To achieve this, the KJUS design team used advanced stretch fabrics throughout the garment, particularly in the sleeves and upper arms where mobility matters most. Every seam was engineered with both the interior and exterior structure in mind, allowing the jacket to move naturally with the body.
“Ted is a product person,” our design team shares. “He approaches development with the same discipline and precision that made him a world champion. He tested prototypes day after day, skiing in them across different terrains and temperatures, providing detailed feedback on fit, flexibility, and performance until every element met his standards.”
The result is a lightweight ski jacket that performs dynamically, offering unrestricted movement and lasting comfort in any condition.

Inspired by Innovation
The Ligety HexAir Jacket was designed to adapt across seasons. Its Graphene lining and lightweight insulation keep you balanced and warm during the coldest winter days, while its Advanced Ventilation System lets you stay cool and dry when spring arrives. “It might be our most year-round piece,” our team notes. “The combination of thermoregulating materials and adaptive ventilation makes it ideal for a wide range of variable mountain environments.”
Pair it with the Dispatch Midlayer, which features Graphene and VaporTemp technology for advanced moisture management and heat regulation. The two pieces work together to enhance comfort, responsiveness, and performance no matter the conditions.
The 2025/26 Ligety HexAir Jacket represents more than a collaboration. It is the union of world-class athletic insight and KJUS engineering excellence. Every feature was developed to help skiers push beyond limits and experience more on every run. As one skier told us from the chairlift, “This jacket makes every day I ski in it a better day.”
