An Alpine Adventure in Davos, Switzerland

For the avid skier, the Swiss Alps are the ultimate destination. Skiing here is more than a sport. It is a tradition shaped by breathtaking mountain landscapes, refined cuisine, lively après, and perfectly groomed slopes.

When it came time to capture our Fall/Winter 2025/26 Ski Collection, we searched for a place that embodied our brand anthem: Beyond. Above. We found it in Davos, Switzerland, a high-altitude town in Switzerland’s Graubünden canton with some of the best ski resorts in the Alps. From the legendary Parsenn ski area to the endless mountain ranges above the valley, Davos offered the ideal setting. This journey was not only about skiing but also about embracing the alpine spirit, pushing boundaries, and experiencing the true performance of KJUS in the environment it was designed for..

Why Davos?

Davos is more than a collection of slopes. It is a landscape that challenges, inspires, and rewards in equal measure. The region combines reliable snowfall, diverse terrain, and expansive ridgelines that invite exploration at every level. From wide-open runs to dramatic chutes, Davos offers a variety that keeps every skier engaged.

Beyond the mountains themselves, the town reflects the same spirit of adventure and refinement. Traditional chalets, modern boutique hotels, and gourmet alpine dining create a setting that is both welcoming and inspiring. Every corner of Davos feels designed for discovery, whether in motion on the trails or paused in a sunlit terrace taking in the scenery.

For our Fall/Winter 2025/26 Ski Collection, Davos was the ideal setting. The terrain, atmosphere, and panoramas allowed us to test our designs against nature while highlighting the connection between our apparel and core values of innovation, functionality, and performance.

Arrival and First Impressions

From the moment we began our scenic trip from Zurich, the adventure unfolded. The journey carried us through towering peaks, picturesque towns, and expansive farmlands. The air held an unspoken promise that what awaited us would be unforgettable.

Vidal Schertenleib, CEO of Davos Klosters Bergbahnen AG, explains the region's draw. "For me, the exceptional snow reliability and the rare balance between perfectly groomed pistes and vast freeride terrain make the Davos Klosters Mountains one of the best ski resorts in the Alps. Between days on the slopes, cozy mountain huts and authentic Swiss gastronomy invite you to slow down and savor the alpine lifestyle. The Mountain Hotels and Resorts, a wide range of accommodation options from stylish boutique hotels to charming alpine resorts, offer attractive deals with skipass included, making it easy and effortless to enjoy a holiday in the heart of the Swiss Alps."

First Tracks at Parsenn

The first morning of our shoot felt ethereal. As the sun crested over frosted peaks, ice crystals sparkled like diamonds in the crisp mountain air. Our team took the funicular, the Parsennbahn, up at dawn, transferred at the Mittelstation Höhenweg, and arrived at Weissfluhjoch lodge at an elevation of 2,662 meters (8,733 feet).

Our athletes, wearing the new Men's and Women's Capture jackets, appreciated the thermoregulating warmth of the recycled-down chambers, Graphene lining, and waterproof and windproof properties in the chilly morning hours. Parsenn delivered the immaculate, freshly groomed corduroy of a skier's dream. It was a perfect blank canvas on which to carve the day's first tracks and for our media team to capture KJUS apparel in action.

After a full morning, we sat down for a delicious meal at Mountain Restaurant Weissfluhjoch, where our team enjoyed traditional Swiss fare including warming Älplermagronen, a hearty comfort food similar to macaroni and cheese with potatoes, and traditional fondue.

Day Two: The Pinnacle of Performance

Our second day began with an early breakfast at one of the town’s quaint hotels, Hotel National. The hotel is centrally located in Davos Platz, with a charming Art Nouveau-style interior enhanced by modern accents, a fantastic Italian-inspired restaurant, and a newly renovated ski room for equipment storage.

When we arrived at the mountain, we continued our ascent from Weissfluhjoch and rode the Gipfelbahn Aerial Tramway up to the peak of Parsenn, Weissfluhgipfel, at an impressive 2,844 meters (9,330 feet). The views from the top were spectacular, offering a breathtaking panorama of jagged mountains and sprawling valleys as far as the eye could see. We felt a profound sense of awe as we absorbed the silent, ancient majesty of the Alps.

After a quick photo opportunity, we clicked into our bindings and experienced the thrill of gravity and steep pitches on the Steinbock and Gipfel Ost runs in the KJUS FRX Collection. This men’s and women’s line, designed with professional freeride athlete Lucas Swieykowski, is crafted for maximum on and off-piste performance with 3D Stretch panels and adjustable ventilation. This trip was about embracing all the elements that make a ski adventure memorable, from pushing athletic limits and feeling the rush of adrenaline to experiencing KJUS performance in its natural environment.

A trip to Davos would not be complete without time spent in the town itself. Visitors will find sun terraces, snow bars, restaurants with both local and international specialties, and a lively nightlife scene. There are also cultural experiences including the Wintersport Museumand a beautiful shopping promenade.
