Social Responsibility
Consistently fair working conditions
As a Swiss company, KJUS has pursued the highest quality standards and long-standing partnerships with suppliers since the launch of its first collection. A socially responsible approach across the production chain is equally important to KJUS. In May 2012, KJUS joined Fair Wear Foundation (FWF). KJUS sees its involvement in Fair Wear Foundation as part of a long-term and continuous improvement process. In joining FWF, KJUS undertakes to constantly monitor the working conditions of its suppliers and to implement the FWF Code of Labour Practices in a long-term, sustainable way.
What is Fair Wear Foundation?
FWF is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to improving working conditions in the textile industry. The independence of this initiative is guaranteed by a multi-stakeholder board composed of business and textile associations, unions and non-government organizations (NGOs).
Independent verification and evaluation of KJUS production
As an independent monitoring body, FWF verifies the progress of member companies towards implementation of the Code of Labour Practices. This is done through factory audits, interviews with factory workers and management, and assessments of KJUS internal processes and workflows on which the monitoring is based.
Membership in Fair Wear Foundation ensures that KJUS will continue to manage its supply chain in a socially responsible way.
